A 25-year-old man was rescued from nearly drowning at a community park in Orange County yesterday.
First responders tell News 12 the near drowning occurred about 5:30 p.m. in a restricted area at the beach in James W. Olley Community Park in Walden.
The man is a Russian national who reportedly performs with the Big Apple Circus. Police say a language barrier with the swimmer may have complicated efforts to get him out of the water.
