Man pleads not guilty in abduction, slaying
A 29-year-old Scarsdale man pleaded not guilty Tuesday to killing a Bronx man in what prosecutors say was a drug-related slaying.
Police say Andrew Zayac and another man, Heriberto Gonzalez, abducted the victim in February after they robbed him of marijuana. Police say that during the abduction, Zayac and Gonzalez killed the man and dumped his body in Connecticut.
Zayac, who is being held at the Westchester County Jail, could face the death penalty if convicted.
