Man charged in Mt. Kisco rape identified
The 23-year-old member of the Mount Kisco Volunteer Ambulance Corps who was charged in the rape of an 18-year-old co-worker has been identified by authorities as Thomas Behrens.
Behrens, of Hawthorne, is facing a sexual misconduct charge for allegedly having sex with the young woman without her consent at the headquarters of the ambulance corps on June 21.
The alleged victim reportedly said she tried to get Behrens off of her, but to no avail. Behrens claims the encounter was consensual.
Behrens is due back in court at the end of July. He faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
