A church in Mamaroneck is trying to clean up after it was ravaged by flooding.

Workers at St. Vito's Church were doing their best to bring the 77-year-old building back to what it once was. Father James Healy, a pastor at the church, says, ?the waters just came up almost 6 feet high in the church and the pews have to be replaced, tremendous damage was done to linens and vestments."

A statue was split in half when it was ripped off its pedestal and overtaken by raging waters. All the heating ducts will also have to be replaced.

Other nearby churches have offered their buildings to St. Vito?s for services until the church can be restored.
