Make-a-Wish Hudson Valley hasn't stopped granting wishes for local people with critical illnesses - even during the pandemic.
On Wednesday, the group helped a local teen take the next steps to start his own business.
Zahir Foster, 17, has congenital heart disease, meaning he was born with a heart defect that impacts how blood flows through his body.
He said it's been a struggle every day.
Make-a-Wish Hudson Valley granted his wish of an Apple shopping spree, so he got a VIP shopping experience, complete with a limousine, at the Apple Store at Ridge Hill in Yonkers.
The Yonkers teen plans to use his new computer and phone to start his own sneaker business.
"I'm a 'sneakerhead' as you can see, so it's just like I just want to put that towards something that I want to do," he says.
Foster has big goals besides the business, including writing his own book and attending college after graduating high school next year.
