Some New Rochelle residents were without water after a 12-inch pipe burst on Wilcot Road early Sunday morning.
Some homes also dealt with low pressure or discolored water.
A Suez Water spokesperson said that though the main break was substantial, the water was still safe to drink.
Officials are also reminding customers to prepare for freezing weather by disconnecting their water hoses and insulating pipes to prevent them from bursting.
