The Macedonia Baptist Church in Mount Vernon gave back to the community Sunday with the Showers of Hope event.

The program started last September in partnership with Hope Community Services and Shiloh Baptist Church. They have held events all over Westchester County since.

The event offered grab-and-go food items, fresh produce, essential care items, fresh clothes and pop-up showers for those in need.

The event also streamed Sunday's church service live in the parking lot for attendees to enjoy.
