Friends, family and former colleagues said goodbye today to a New Rochelle police officer who died of cancer. A service for New Rochelle Police Officer Lucia Mele-Hansen was held at the Blessed Sacrament

Loved ones say goodbye to officer who died of cancer
Friends, family and former colleagues said goodbye today to a New Rochelle police officer who died of cancer.
A service for New Rochelle Police Officer Lucia Mele-Hansen was held at the Blessed Sacrament Church.
Mele-Hansen spent the last few years fighting a rare ovarian cancer.
She was married New Rochelle Police Detective John Hansen since April 2010.
The police force says it plans to start a scholarship in Hansen's name.
