Long-time Rockland County clerk passes away

Long-time Rockland County Clerk Paul Piperato passed away this morning, according to County Executive Ed Day.
The cause of Piperato's death is not yet known, but it was not coronavirus-related.
Piperato, 61, had been Rockland's county clerk since first being elected in 2005.
Before that, he served as deputy county clerk for 16 years.
Piperato is survived by his wife and the daughters.
