Long Island family 'shocked' by toxicology report
(AP) - The brother of the New York mom whocaused a wrong-way crash that killed eight people - including herdaughter and three nieces - says his family is shocked by a reportthat found she was drunk and high at the time.
Warren Hance - whose three daughters were killed in the July 26crash - says in a statement Wednesday that the news was "the lastthing that we ever would have expected" of Diane Schuler.
Toxicology reports showed the 36-year-old Schuler had at least10 drinks and smoked marijuana before her minivan driving the wrongway on the Taconic State Parkway crashed into an SUV. Her2-year-old daughter, three nieces and three men in the SUV werekilled.
