With temperatures in the upper 90s all weekend, residents across Westchester and the Hudson Valley were trying to cope with the haze, humidity and heat.
Residents found some fun in the sun at the Lake Isle Community pool in Eastchester. Playland Beach in Rye had a sizable crowd and staff members say they were ready for the first scorching weekend.
Meanwhile, shoppers looking to cool down treated themselves to a swirl of softserve, while others stocked up on barbecue basics like charcoal, lighter fluid and propane.
