Lisa LaRocca
Lisa LaRocca is a reporter for News 12 Westchester. She grew up in Westchester and is still proud to call it home.
For years, LaRocca has been helping folks across the Hudson Valley get all the news they need to start their day on The Morning Edition.
Before joining News 12, LaRocca worked behind-the-scenes for a number of nationally syndicated programs, including "Live with Regis and Kathie Lee."
LaRocca 's move in front of the camera as a reporter and anchor took her to WPDE, an ABC affiliate in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Three years later, she joined our sister station News 12 Long Island as a reporter. LaRocca then moved back home to become a reporter and anchor for News 12 Westchester.
Since then, she has reported on major breaking events, provided health reports on the latest medical procedures, and of course viewers can always count on LaRocca to stand outside during snow and rain storms for hours to give updates on severe weather conditions.
LaRocca has received numerous awards for her work including The New York EMMY Award, The Edward R. Murrow Award, The Associated Press Award, The New York Press Club Award, The Telly Award.  She has been honored by the Society of Professional Journalists, the New York Chapter of Black Journalists and she has also received numerous awards and honors from various Hudson Valley organizations for her work in the community.
LaRocca gives her time to various community groups, and for many years has served as Master of Ceremonies for the annual Lustgarten Foundation Walk to Cure Pancreatic Cancer, The American Heart Association Heart Walk, The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention Out of the Darkness Walk, The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation Ride for Kids, as well as the annual tree lighting ceremony for Hospice Care in Westchester and Putnam, Inc.
?LaRocca also visits numerous Hudson Valley schools each year to speak with students about working in Television.
Although LaRocca grew up in the town of Harrison and is a proud former Harrison High School Cheerleader, her elementary school years were spent at the William E. Cottle School in Tuckahoe where her late father Dr. Anthony J. LaRocca served as principal for more than 20 years, and the school auditorium is now dedicated in his name.
LaRocca is a graduate of Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio.  LaRocca currently lives in her hometown of Harrison with her husband, John Martin and their dog, Maxwell.
