LGBT community celebrates at fest in White Plains
Supporters of the LGBT community from all over the Hudson Valley came to White Plains on Saturday for LOFT Pride 2015, a day full of fun and celebrations.
The LOFT - which bills itself as the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community center for the lower Hudson Valley - hosted a day of entertainment that featured the Glamazons from "America's Got Talent" and drag star Ariel Sinclair.
"This is our first pride event here in Westchester," White Plains Mayor Thomas Roach said. "It's a really nice event, turned out to be a really nice day, so it's great to be here celebrating."
Gay pride activities are currently being celebrated in the month of June to honor the Stonewall riots in Manhattan back in June 1969.
