"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" has been reimagined in the town where it takes place.
The new version, now in its second year, is a spectacle on its own.
"There are many 'Legend' productions going on, but there's only one circus production going on," says the show's producer, Carlo Pelligrini. "It's portrayed by circus performances, acrobats, aerialists and comedians."
The performance debuted last year with a hologram playing Washington Irving. "This year, he's a live narrator. He will portray Irving and interact with all the characters," explains Pellegrini.
"It was massively successful the first year, people loved it," says Sleepy Hollow Mayor Martin Rutyna. "And I think a month after, they decided to bring it right back." Last year, the performance attracted thousands and provided a boost to the local economy.
"We estimated our show alone brings about half a million dollars to the community. People are eating out, shopping, roaming around," says Pellegrini,  This year, there will be a twist and a surprise, but you'll have to see it to find out.
