Spinouts and accidents were a frequent sight Sunday throughout Westchester and the Hudson Valley thanks to a blast of snow. In Westchester alone, county police confirm the storm caused nearly two-dozen accidents. Many spent the day shoveling their way out of as much as 4 inches of snow in some areas. The main roads were wet, but for the most part clear. Secondary roads, like Broadway in Yonkers, were a slippery mess.Even though the roads appear clear, with at- or below-freezing temperatures looming, drivers are still dealing with dangerous black ice.
