There is some forward movement on reopening in the Hudson Valley as restrictions ease statewide beginning today.
As of today, New York state officials are easing some coronavirus-related restrictions and opening up certain low risk businesses and recreational activities. Landscaping and gardening businesses can reopen.
And as far as outdoor activities, folks can enjoy tennis again. Golf courses are open as well as driving ranges as long as proper spacing is in place.
And you can now go to a drive-in movie. While there are none in Westchester or Rockland counties, there are a few opening in Orange and Dutchess counties.
Five regions upstate have met the governor's seven tier criteria for entering what's called Phase One of the reopening plan, which means those regions can move forward with opening up construction, manufacturing, and wholesale trade. Select retail businesses can open for curbside pickup only and agriculture, forestry and fishing.
