8h agoThe Lake Mohegan Fire District held a recruitment event Sunday at their firehouse on East Main Street.
The event is a part of New York State’s “Recruit New York” campaign.
“Anyone above the age of 16, come on down, join. We're always looking for help," said Deputy Chief Chris Gravius. "Being a volunteer firefighter or EMS worker, we require no background. We will teach a volunteer everything from the basics up to advanced or medical training."
