A man was rescued from a burning car Tuesday by Kiryas Joel firefighters after suffering a medical emergency and crashing into a concrete barrier.

Frightened onlookers along Meron Drive can be heard screaming when the car bursts into flames as first responders begin to arrive.

A community source tells News 12 the victim was trapped and could not get out of the vehicle.

Quick-thinking rescuers are seen dousing the car with extinguishers to combat the blaze.

Sources say the victim was taken to the hospital by Kiryas Joel EMS and is expected to make a full recovery.
