Kids rock at Blythedale Christmas party
Children dealing with serious illnesses got some holiday cheer in Valhalla this morning.
WPLJ's "Scott and Todd Show" hosted its 20th annual "Holiday Spectacular" to help raise money for the Blythedale Children's Hospital.
Performers included Rob Thomas, who returned for the 12th-straight year, The Fray, Matt Nathanason, Gavin DeGraw and perennial favorites Holiday Express.
A "rock 'n roll" auction was held and featured items such as lunch with Rob Thomas, six tickets to watch a Yankees game from the general manager's suite, four VIP tickets to Dr. Oz and a Lady Antebellum experience at Radio City Music Hall.
The event has raised nearly $4 million for Blythedale since its inception 20 years ago.
Blythedale is New York State's only independent, specialty children's hospital dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of children with complex medical illnesses and conditions.
