Eileen Carter-Campos is one of News 12's education ambassadors who will help keep viewers informed this school year.
Carter-Campos says the last six months have been rough.
Her son was diagnosed with COVID-19 in April and at the time, she thought she had mom super powers.
But it turned out, her super power isn't immune to the virus, and she got it too.
Carter-Campos has recovered from the virus and finished the school year online. But now it is time to think about a new class of students - and a new style of teaching.
She had to learn how to keep third graders engaged in digital learning.
Carter-Campos and nearly a dozen other education ambassadors will speak with News 12 throughout this school year, including superintendents, students, pediatricians and PTA parents.
