Judge drops 2 suits against Harrison PD
Harrison town officials have claimed victory Friday after two lawsuits against the town's police department have been dropped.
The lawsuits brought forward by controversial attorney Jonathan Lovitt accused several Harrison cops of groping a teenage girl and forcing her to watch a sex tape after a drug raid in 2007.
The Harrison Police Department denied the allegations from the start, with Town Attorney Frank Allegretti calling the lawsuits a poorly orchestrated poker bluff.
Harrison Police Chief David Hall claims the lawsuits were politically motivated and were filed in an attempt to squeeze money out of the police department.
