Janitors reach tentative deal
Janitors who work in office buildings throughout the Hudson Valley will remain on the job.
The SEIU Local 32BJ union, representing 3,500 from across the tri-state area, has reached a tentative deal with the Hudson Valley Contractors Association.
Workers are expected to approve the four-year contract, which includes wage hikes and protects health benefits.
"These are the jobs that support families and communities all over the Hudson Valley, that's why a good contract is important for everyone," says union member Maria Montes.
