An Islamic group has lost another effort to develop a mosque in Yonkers.
In 2015, The Islamic Community Center for Mid-Westchester purchased property in the Colonial Heights section of the city for the purpose of converting it into a mosque.
The group claimed that as soon the property was purchased,  the city designated it a landmark.
A federal judge upheld the designation and now so has a federal appeals court.
An attorney for the Islamic Center tells News 12 that they will continue to pursue justice and are reviewing their options.
