As the dog days of summer wind to a close, the orange moving bins at Iona College began rolling. Which means only one thing - it's freshman move-in time.
With help from upper classmen, the incoming students began to move heaps of their stuff into cramped dorm rooms.
"We're helping the freshman move in so their move-in is a lot easier," says Marissa Wilson, a sophomore.
One freshman, Matt Simone of Long Island, says he is excited about starting at Iona. But his parents say they'll miss him.
"[I'll miss] not having him around the house," says his mom Fran Simone. "He's my baby, and he does everything."
Leaving their lives at home behind, these first-year students say they're both excited and overwhelmed.
"It was really sad this morning saying goodbye to my friends," says Alanna D'Aries. "Once I'm here, it's better. I'm excited, but in the car I was teary-eyed."
