The private investigator hired by Diane Schuler's husband maintains his client's wife had a medical condition and was not drunk and high before the fatal Taconic accident.
A police report released Monday quotes witnesses who said Schuler was seen vomiting on the side of the road on July 26, the day of the accident. Police say Schuler, who was traveling the wrong way on the Taconic, later plowed into a car carrying three Yonkers men, killing herself, her daughter, three nieces and the men.
Investigator Thomas Ruskin says the witness statements of Schuler vomiting "fits exactly" with her family's contention that a medical issue caused her to crash.
The family of two Yonkers men killed in the accident is demanding that Westchester District Attorney Janet DiFiore impanel a grand jury to investigate the accident.
