Inside Westchester’s real-time crime center during search for bomber
News 12 went inside the real-time crime center in Hawthorne where investigators from multiple agencies were embedded since the mailed bombs began in the Westchester and Hudson Valley area.
Federal authorities announced the arrest of suspected mail bomber Cesar Sayoc Friday afternoon, and applauded the efforts of law enforcement agencies nationwide.
Thirteen IED devices were mailed to prominent political figures and outspoken critics of President Donald Trump. The first was discovered in Westchester at the home of liberal billionaire George Soros in Bedford.
Another similar parcel was addressed to former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in Chappaqua.
At the crime center, investigators shared information with numerous law enforcement outlets to help identify a suspect.
