Police: Emotionally disturbed person injured at homeless shelter
An incident at a Yonkers homeless shelter prompted a heavy police response overnight.
News 12 cameras recorded at least a dozen police cars and officers cordoning off the area of Hudson Street and Riverdale Avenue near the Sharing Community Shelter.
Authorities have not released many details, but say an emotionally disturbed person was injured after jumping from the facility.  The man was taken the hospital and is listed in serious but stable condition.
Hudson Street was shut down for hours as police investigated, but has since reopened.
