Slick conditions on Interstate-684 contributed to two buses crashing on the Westchester-Putnam border Friday.

A group of adults and students from a Bronx Jewish school were headed for Connecticut when one bus slid into the rear of another. About 120 people were riding in three buses, one of which did not crash, when conditions of the interstate worsened. Another car slid into the guardrail to avoid hitting the buses. The accident shut down a portion of the road for hours.

Ten people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. One person suffered a broken nose and a pregnant woman went to the hospital as a precaution. State troopers say the slick road conditions played a major role in the accident.
