A woman is recounting an alleged incident at a Middletown Walmart in which she says a man attempted to sexually assault her.
The victim, Adrianna Rodriguez, says a man grabbed her arm and tried to pull down her sweatpants Thursday afternoon.
She says she fought back using a set of keys she was holding at the time and that others inside the store intervened upon noticing what was happening.
"I was absolutely terrified. I'm pretty tough myself, but when you don't realize something's going to happen and it happens, it just takes you by surprise," Rodriguez recalls.
Wallkill police responded to the scene and arrested 59-year-old John Pascucci. They say he is being charged with attempted rape and forcible touching. He's currently being held in Orange County Jail until his next court appearance on Sept. 9.
