Wake services continue today for a fallen FDNY firefighter who briefly attended Iona College in New Rochelle.
Firefighters lined the streets in tribute to Lt. Michael Davidson for a wake on Sunday.
The father of four was killed Thursday night while fighting a fire on a movie set in Harlem.
The 15-year veteran has been posthumously promoted to lieutenant. “Right from the start, he was just a tremendous asset to the firehouse. I worked with the his father for a long, long time, and his father would ask all the time how's he doing? And I would tell him, I wish I had a whole company of Michaels, because if I had a whole company like that, there would be no issues,” says FDNY Chief Jim Kane.
The wake will continue today at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home in Floral Park.
Funeral services will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
