Hundreds lose power as nor'easter winds whip region

Power outages were reported across Westchester Saturday as a nor’easter’s whipping winds lashed the region.
Con Edison crews were out on Myrtle Boulevard in Mamaroneck to fix downed wires. They say 2,291 customers were still without power Saturday evening.
According to Orange & Rockland Utilities, more than 500 customers were affected in Orange, Rockland, and Sullivan counties.
NYSEG officials are reporting that a few dozen customers were affected in Westchester, but another 184 lost power in Putnam.
The winds were dying down by Saturday evening.
