Hundreds of family, friends and local officials paid their respects Thursday to the girl who was fatally shot in Yonkers last week.
Funeral services for Marilyn Cotto Montanez took place at the Community Home for Funerals in Yonkers.

The 18-year-old was killed by a stray bullet as she walked down the street with her 9-year-old sister.
Many of the mourners wore pink and specially designed T-shirts in memory of their late loved one. “She was a good-hearted person. I know people say that a lot when people pass away, but this really was a child who strived high in life and worked hard to achieve her goals and that was taken from her, and she was taken from her family and nothing will bring her back,” says Karmaia Martinez, family friend.

Yonkers School Superintendent Dr. Edwin Quezada says the schools are providing support and counseling for Marilyn's friends.
Investigators tell News 12 that a $5,000 reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest of the suspected shooter, 15-year-old Jamir Thompson.
Police are urging anyone with information to call them at 914-377-7725.
