It has been quite a year in the news, both across the nation and here in the Hudson Valley as well.
A political upset on Election Day was among the biggest stories of 2017, with Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino ousted and Democrat George Latimer elected to lead the county.
Outside of the political sphere, a video of a 4-year-old developmentally disabled child from Harrison being picked on by a Yankees fan caught a lot of attention on Facebook.
But kindness won in the end, with the boy getting to spend some time with the Rockland Boulders.
On the heels of several deadly shootings nationwide, Orange County had a scare of its own at the Galleria at Crystal Run.
Shoppers heard loud bangs, but only two people suffered minor injuries and the alleged shooter was charged.
News 12 also took a look into the world of witchcraft, which is hidden right here in the Hudson Valley.
