Hudson Valley residents enjoying the holiday weekend flocked to Rye Playland.
Park supervisors say this Memorial Day has been the busiest they've seen in a long time, despite even kids having to pay a flat fee to get into the park.
And while most families decided to hit the park and jump on the rides, some folks also hit the nearby beach.
For the White family, coming out was not only a family tradition, but also a way to honor all soldiers.
"It's a glorious, perfect day ? we're remembering all the people that served our country," says Patricia White.
