On the third anniversary of the Iraq war, friends and family gathered to remember Army Specialists Carlos Gonzalez. Gonzalez was killed in a rocket attack near Baghdad on Thursday. He was a communications specialist with the 101st Airborne Division. Friends say whether someone knew Carlos for five minutes or five years, he made an impact on their life. They say he had a personality that drew people in. Gonzalez was a graduate of Minisink High School, where he was part of the ROTC program. Friends and family say he wanted to serve in the army as long as they can remember. Gonzalez is the seventh serviceman from Orange County killed since the war in Iraq began three years ago this weekend. The Gonzalez family is asking any remembrance in their son?s name to go to a college fund being set up for is one-year-old daughter.
