Hudson Valley Christians celebrate Palm Sunday
Hudson Valley Christians flocked to local churches to attend Palm Sunday services.
Palms were passed around, and parishioners prayed during Mass at St. Paul the Apostle Church on McLean Avenue in Yonkers.
For Christians, Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus' procession into Jerusalem, when he was cheered on by crowds waving palm branches in the days before his death and resurrection.
