How to survive a volatile market
The stock market has seen huge swings since the start of the year, and investors are stuck trying to figure out where they can put money that is still safe and earn a decent yield.
News 12 financial expert Jordan Goodman says interest rates have been falling lately with economic news like the weak GDP report last week and the slowing growth in China. The 10-year Treasury now yields just under 2 percent and short term bank offerings such as CDs, money funds and savings account pay just about 0 percent.
Goodman details the pros and cons of municipal bonds and commercial mortgage bridge loans as an answer to market volatility.
The editor at moneyanswers.com also explains what goes into master limited partnerships.
