10h agoThe United States House of Representatives approved the bipartisan appropriations package, which means millions of dollars for community projects in the Hudson Valley.
The package was approved on Wednesday.
Nearly $36 million will pay for initiatives in District 17, according to Rep. Mike Lawler.
The money will be split between 17 projects.
The biggest share is going toward sidewalk repairs in Putnam County and the Town of Ramapo.
Nearly a dozen projects in District 16 will get also get funds.
Eleven projects will share $14.6 million to create greenspace, climate investments, community programming, economic development, affordable housing and more.
A total of $500,000 will be allocated to the transition the Bee-Line bus system to electric buses.
