Hot Spots: Hiking the Bronx
Lace up your sneakers and get ready for the great outdoors! 
In this week's Bronx Hot Spots, News 12's Brittany Miller took a hike, literally, to Van Cortlandt Park. 
The park touts six major hiking trails that allow you to take in the sights and sounds of nature, without even leaving the borough. Hikers can cover more than 30 miles on a variety of paths. 
Van Cortlandt Park is the third largest park in New York City, with one of the biggest forest areas.
