The graduation rate for students in Yonkers high schools is on the rise.
Teachers and administrators at Yonkers Montessori Academy say they look at each student for warning signs, including tracking attendance, to make sure everyone is up to speed.
The school has an above-average graduation rate, but the number is up to 78 percent across the district. That is higher than last year.
Yonkers outperformed New York's big five school districts.
