Two college sophomores used their time in quarantine to create a small business painting basketball courts.
Jeremy Block and Joshua Weinberg grew up together in Chappaqua, but went to separate colleges and lived 500 miles apart.
When college classes were canceled due to the pandemic, the friends were able to reconnect.
"We don't get to see each other as much so it's nice to get to work together and catch up a little bit," Weinberg says.
In high school, the 20-year-olds painted a few basketball courts for friends and family as a hobby for extra cash. They now are using their skills to help out their neighbors.
They also pass out gift cards to local businesses in exchange for referrals.
"We felt this was a great way to help out local businesses struggling during this time," Block says.
They are open for business in Westchester, Long Island and New Jersey.
