Residents of the Nob Hill Condominium complex in Ronkonkoma will be going days without heat or hot water.
Management says starting Tuesday morning, utilities in building No. 1 will be shut down for five days to replace a broken boiler.
"Our boiler needs to be replaced, if we don't replace it, we will have an issue that will impact all residents for a much longer time period," management told News 12 in a statement.
Many residents say management mismanaged the situation by not catching the crack in the boiler sooner and by not explaining why the repair will take five days.
Management says they're working to make sure residents are impacted for the shortest amount of time possible. Residents say they hope management keeps their word.
