The victim told police that his car, phone and cash were stolen. Officers say they tracked down the vehicle and the driver, who is now facing robbery and assault charges. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
A man has pleaded guilty to fatally hitting a 91-year-old and then taking off. The incident happened last September when Johnny Machado hit Rocco DePaolo at a crosswalk. DePaolo died at a hospital. Machado, a Hastings resident, is set to be sentenced on Feb. 25.
A former Tuckahoe tutor is accused of sexually exploiting a 7-year-old in Connecticut. John Muesser, 69, allegedly convinced the child to engage in sexually explicit conduct and recorded it on his phone. The former tutor now faces sexual exploitation and child pornography charges.
