Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A truck driver is lucky to be alive after his truck rolled over on I-84 early Monday. State Troopers say that crash happened in the area of Exit 68-B in Brewster. One lane was closed at the time and traffic was backed up for miles. There was one minor injury.
A house in Montgomery is destroyed after a weekend fire. The Montgomery Fire Department says the fire broke out on Hill Avenue on Saturday. First responders say they saw heavy smoke and flames and quickly rushed inside the home. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Officials are warning residents about a lottery scam in White Plains. They say scammers are approaching victims, asking for help cashing in a lottery ticket that appears to be real. The scammers say they will split the winnings if you give them money or jewelry as a sign of good faith. They also tell the victims they can make a phone call to the "lottery commission" to confirm the ticket, but the person on the other line is actually another accomplice. If you are approached to help claim a winning ticket, police say to walk away or call 911.
