Here are some stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley today.
An Ossining man who was struck by a car after being involved in an accident on the Garden State Parkway is now dead. Police say Daniel Cintron, 50, and a Staten Island man crashed in Toms River. As they were exchanging insurance information, both were hit by an SUV driven by Roberto Sandoval-Guerrero. According to police, Sandoval-Guerrero continued driving, but then abandoned his vehicle and ran away on foot. He was later caught. He was driving with a suspended license.
A Yonkers man has been indicted in the murder of his sister. Police say an argument escalated between Jeffrey Hirschorn and his sister on the front lawn of their Oakland Avenue home on July 3. Officials say Hirschorn took out a gun and shot her in the neck. He is due back on court Sept. 30.
And a 26-year-old from the hamlet of Wallkill has been arrested in connection with a shooting Saturday night. Police say a 28-year-old man was found lying on the ground on Meadow Lake Drive.  Officials say he suffered gun wounds to the arm and groin. Daniel Mann, 26, has been arraigned and sent to the Orange County Jail.
