A fire broke out inside a residential building on South Second Avenue in Mount Vernon on Tuesday. Crews got the two-alarm blaze under control just before 5 p.m. Neighbors say they were shocked to see the flames spilling out from the second floor. No injuries were reported.

A 27-year-old man was injured in Newburgh's third shooting in three weeks, according to police. The shooting occurred at 9:15 a.m. on Monday. The clerk at M&A Deli on Fullerton Avenue, also known in the area as the Goldback Deli, tells News 12 he witnessed the shooting, and that the victim was bleeding after being hit by several bullets. City of Newburgh police say that the man was shot in the back and leg. He is currently at Westchester Medical Center. There is no word on any arrests. Last week, 21 shots were fired in an incident that wounded two teens.

Westchester County District Attorney Mimi Rocah will release a new report today on late real estate heir and convicted killer Robert Durst. The report is expected to detail new evidence in the investigation into the murder of his first wife, Kathie back in 1982. Durst was charged in the murder last November. The news conference is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
