Here are some of the stories making headlines across the Hudson Valley.
A Mount Vernon DPW worker has been indicted on federal drug charges. Authorities say Vincent "Coke" Jackson and three others are accused of conspiring to sell PCP between June 2019 and last month. Jackson was arrested Thursday night. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment.
Police have identified the victim involved in a suspicious fire in Yonkers. The fire claimed the life of 75-year-old Victorino Martinez and left his wife in critical condition at a home on Waverly Street. News 12 is told she has burns to more than 75% of her body. Police say they are investigating the fire as arson and are saying it may have stemmed from a domestic dispute.
A Queens died in a crash on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County last Thursday in Stanford. Investigators say the woman, Fatos Kaba, 65, lost control of her vehicle during heavy rainfall and hit a tree. Kaba was pronounced dead at the scene.
