A couple from Hastings was killed in a crash along a snowy highway in Vermont.

Police say Richard and Anita Malarczyk, along with a friend, were killed Tuesday on Route 4 in Killington, located in the area of a ski resort.

Investigators say a truck apparently crossed the center line and struck the couple's SUV head-on. They say the couple's friend -- who was visiting from Poland -- was ejected from the vehicle and killed.

Three children believed to be the couple's were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The truck driver did not suffer any serious injuries. There is no word yet as to whether charges will be filed.
