Amid sweltering temperatures Tuesday, a Harrison High School student tried to get classes dismissed early by pulling a fire alarm.
Fire trucks arrived as students emptied outside of the building into a field. Firefighters did not find any fire and confirmed that someone pulled an alarm.
Many students praised the unknown culprit who tripped the alarm, saying any excuse to get out of class was overdue. The students complained that they have no air conditioners and fans just weren't cutting it.
Students were eventually ushered back into the school where classes went on as planned.
Many other surrounding districts dismissed classes early Monday and Tuesday due to the extreme heat.
