Some Harrison neighbors say they are upset after being asked to sell their homes so the town could rebuild a rec center.
The town wants to redevelop the Harrison Rec Center on Harrison Avenue, but it would mean taking down neighboring homes to put up a parking lot.

Mayor Ron Belmont says he's sent several letters to those residents asking if they would sell their homes to the town. This way, the mayor says, the town can rebuild the rec center as a way to enhance the downtown.
He says one person is willing to sell their home, and the town's in contract with two other properties.
Other residents on Calvert Street say they have no plans on selling the home they have lived in for years.
